From Pre-Production to Live Show at the 360 Paris Music Factory<\/strong><\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column_inner][\/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”4.4.6″ width=”90%” custom_margin=”-32px|||||” custom_padding=”20px|||||”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”2_3″ _builder_version=”4.0.11″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.3.4″ min_height=”184px” custom_padding=”||0px|||”] Democracy for Immersive Audio<\/strong> – Introducing the use of immersive audio<\/strong> in a performing arts venue<\/strong> is not a crazy exclusive scientific stunt, and not something that is out of reach today.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the above video,\u00a0Sound engineer Jean-Loup Pecquais talks about how to setup and configure a standard stereo or LCR system<\/strong>, with additional loudspeakers surrounding the audience<\/strong>, running through Spat Revolution<\/strong> to provide alternate advanced panning tools for mixing immersive for a concert at the 360 Paris Music Factory venue in Paris, France. A venue where g<\/span>uest artists and engineers now gets the the creative freedom to produce <\/span>immersive content<\/strong>\u00a0with the in-house system.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/www.flux.audio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/360-Akagera-Spat-5-1920.png” alt=”The 360 Music Factory – Paris” title_text=”360-Akagera-Spat-5-1920″ _builder_version=”4.4.6″ custom_margin=”-12px||22px|||”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.3.4″ min_height=”184px”] The 360 \u200b\u200bParis Music Factory<\/strong> venue opened in the beginning of February 2020, in the heart ofthe Barb\u00e8s district in Paris, and then presented its first immersive concert<\/strong>; a unique musical experience<\/strong> created by the Orl\u00e9ans jazz trio Akagera<\/strong>. Flux:: has been working in the 360 Paris Music Factory with the concert spatialisation aspect<\/strong> of the project and the venue is now equipped with Spat Revolution processing computer to host engineers and offer an alternate panning<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>The 360 is a quite small venue, with less than 200 seats and a total capacity of 300 with the tiers folded back. The acoustics in the venue is very controlled and quite dry making it an ideal situation for\u00a0<\/strong>spatialization<\/b>, and for playing with the direct sound to bring an additional dimension to the spectator\u2019s experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/www.flux.audio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/photo-fasade-360-1920px.png” alt=”The 360 Music Factory – Paris” title_text=”photo-fasade-360-1920px” _builder_version=”4.4.6″][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.3.4″] The 360 Music Factory<\/strong> offers a pleasant setting for working with immersive audio.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>With their in-house Nexo system<\/strong> and a signal path going through an Allen & Heath SQ5<\/strong> and a simple 8 speaker system setup<\/strong>, using Spat Revolution<\/strong>, gives the audience a full true immersive experience<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n The NEXO system<\/strong> consist of two P12s out front and six ID24s for the main floor provides the option for immersive sound<\/strong>. Up top at the balcony\u00a0 two P12s and two ID24s behind, covers the immersive aspect. The Allen & Heath SQ5<\/strong> and two RIOs on the stage, all communicate on a Dante network<\/strong>, which enables a particularly fluid interaction with the SPAT Revolution.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>The on-site system relies on eight main speakers<\/strong> surrounding the listener, and using the blueprint of their placement<\/strong>, provided by the NEXO NS-1 system<\/strong>, the speaker arrangement was sketched up in SPAT Revolution<\/strong>.
